Sharp for Justice

"Fill the seats of justice with good men,
not so absolute in goodness as to forget what human frality is."

What Jim Sharp Brings to the Court
  • Attorney for 17 years in his solo law practice (Sharp Law Firm)
  • Civil, Criminal, Family Practice including Court of Appeals, Texas Court of Criminal Appeals and Texas Supreme Court
  • Political Consultant, Washington, D.C.
  • Legislative Staff: Texas House of Representatives and Texas Senate Education Committee

Jim Sharp has 17 years of experience representing people of all walks of life. Through his experience he has learned that fair and equal administration of the law instills and restores individuals' belief in our country and judicial system. Jim is committed to ensuring that every Texan takes pride in the Texas Judiciary knowing that it brokers one thing only: evenhanded justice for all who come before it.

Today 84 of 98 Texas appellate Justices are of one partisan perspective. Our courts are dominated by justices with singular experiences and ideologies, rendering our halls of justice narrow and available only to like minds. A court that lacks diversity is unable to engage in rigorous debate that leads to a greater understanding of the law and its application. Only when there is a voice that can move the bench beyond narrow perspectives is justice to be wrested from the law.

Jim will evoke thoughtful discussion on the bench that will bring evenhanded justice to Texas.
